Frequently asked questions
Answers about testing RadioFlow, setting up a library, running a show, routing audio, broadcasting, and sending feedback.
Trial access, accounts, downloads, and system requirements.
How do I try RadioFlow?+-
Create an account, confirm your email, download the macOS app, and sign in. Unlimited access is already on during the testing phase.
What Mac do I need?+-
The current build needs macOS 13 Ventura or newer.
Do I need an account?+-
Yes. Your account is used for trial access, downloads, and signing in from the macOS app.
Where do I download the app?+-
Use the download page or your account page. After installing the app, sign in and approve the browser code to start the trial.
How much will it cost?+-
Nothing right now. RadioFlow is in a testing phase, billing is paused, and everyone has unlimited access until further notice.
Is RadioFlow on Windows or Linux?+-
No. RadioFlow is a macOS app.
Music, imaging, show saving, search, and previewing.
Can it handle a big music library?+-
Yes. Use CMD+F to search the library quickly, including larger collections with thousands of tracks.
How does imaging import work?+-
RadioFlow looks at your folders when you import. If you already keep beds, sweepers, promos, or stings in separate folders, it uses that structure.
Can I preview something without putting it on air?+-
Yes. Select a track and press Space. Preview stays separate from the live output.
Can I save shows?+-
Yes. You can save a show and bring it back later, either replacing the current queue or appending to it.
Does automation replace manual show building?+-
No. Automation can fill the playout log from clocks, but you can still move, remove, insert, preview, and edit rows by hand.
Can I edit segues?+-
Yes. The segue editor lets you adjust overlap and transition points with a waveform view.
Does it scan silence?+-
Yes. RadioFlow can detect quiet intros and outros to give transitions a cleaner starting point.
Can it suggest songs?+-
There is a song suggestions view that uses the current show context and works with tracks already in your library.
Running shows, decks, mic controls, routing, and monitoring.
Is it ready to use live?+-
That is the goal. It is built for live macOS playout, and testing feedback is helping tighten up the rough edges.
What is visible while a show is running?+-
The live view keeps decks, meters, microphone state, now playing, and up next in one place.
Is the microphone built in?+-
Yes. There are mic controls for gain, ducking, compression, EQ, ambience, and voice tracks.
Can preview and program use different outputs?+-
Yes. You can route preview and program audio to separate devices.
Can I record voice tracks?+-
Yes. You can record quick breaks, links, intros, and talk segments for the playout log.
Can I use it for a solo show?+-
Yes. A lot of the workflow is built around one person running music, mic, preview, and stream output from the same Mac.
Streaming, metadata, servers, and reconnect behavior.
Does it handle broadcasting too?+-
Yes. RadioFlow can send audio to Icecast or Shoutcast and pass along stream metadata.
Can I configure multiple servers?+-
Broadcast settings are built for Icecast and Shoutcast server setup, including codecs, bitrate, reconnects, and metadata.
Does now-playing metadata get sent?+-
Yes. RadioFlow can send stream metadata so your current track information reaches the broadcast server.
What happens if the stream disconnects?+-
RadioFlow includes reconnect settings for broadcast servers. If you hit issues during a trial, those reports are especially useful.
Can I keep local preview separate from the stream?+-
Yes. Preview, program, monitor, recording, and broadcast paths can be configured separately.
Trial timing, subscriptions, cancellation, and how to get help.
Do I need a card to start?+-
No. The standard trial is 3 days and does not require a credit card.
How does the extended trial work?+-
There is no extended trial right now. Everyone has unlimited access while billing is paused.
Can I cancel before being charged?+-
There is nothing to cancel during the testing phase because billing is paused.
Can I switch monthly and annual billing?+-
Not during the testing phase. Billing will come back later if licenses are reintroduced.
What kind of feedback is useful?+-
Anything practical: setup problems, confusing screens, missing shortcuts, audio routing issues, or things that felt awkward during a real show.
Should I send bugs even if they seem small?+-
Yes. Small paper cuts are useful, especially if they slow you down during prep or while a show is live.
Where should I look before asking for help?+-
Start with the documentation. It covers setup, core workflows, and common controls.
How do I contact support?+-
Email info@radioflow.app with your account email, Mac version, RadioFlow version, and what you were trying to do.
Can I ask for a longer test window?+-
Yes. Send a note with what you are testing and why you need more time.
Is pricing final?+-
No. Pricing is paused while RadioFlow is being tested, and licenses can be reintroduced later.
